1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our Service:

• Telegram User ID: Your numeric Telegram identifier, used to send you notifications and manage your account.
• Search Queries: The keywords, price filters, and exclusion terms you configure for marketplace monitoring.
• Seen Listings: IDs of listings we've already notified you about, to avoid duplicate alerts.
• Payment Data: If you subscribe to Premium, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. We never see or store your credit card number.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To monitor marketplaces and send you notifications matching your searches
• To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe
• To improve the Service and fix bugs

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as required by Stripe for payment processing.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on our secured server. Database files have restricted access permissions. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Search history and seen listings older than 30 days are automatically cleaned up.

4. Third-Party Services

• Telegram: We use the Telegram Bot API to communicate with you. Telegram's privacy policy applies to your use of their platform.
• Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Marketplace Data: We access publicly available listing information from Mercari, Yahoo Auctions, and Rakuma. We do not collect data about marketplace sellers or buyers.

5. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• Use the /unregister command to remove individual searches
• Contact us at support@japanalerts.com to request full account deletion

When you cancel your Premium subscription, your account is downgraded to free tier. Searches beyond the free tier limit (3) are removed.

6. Security

We implement reasonable security measures including restricted database file permissions, parameterized database queries, and Stripe webhook signature verification. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as needed. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
